Hometown Holidays with Friends

28 05 2013

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend with our friends Dave and Angie visiting us from Indiana. They showed us geocaching. Who knew there were so many treasures all around us in Rockville? There are all kinds of things that people hide and then provide the GPS coordinates online so others can find them- like a scavenger hunt. Sometimes they are small hidden boxes or magnets or nano size capsules, usually with a trinket inside or a roll of paper that finders can sign. It’s fun. We were hunting for one around the Rio area and Paul and Amelia found it hidden at the base of a light pole!

We enjoyed the Rockville Town Square Hometown Holidays events including the Taste of Rockville, bands playing throughout the weekend, and a parade on Monday. It was great that we could walk to the parade. Amelia loved that people throw necklaces and candy to the parade watchers.

She was so excited she wanted to join them!

Henry is 6 weeks old now and Amelia is almost 20 months. Daddy got them these fun T-shirts.

Clean and creative fun

Filling the kitchen sink with bubbles was a BIG hit with Amelia, and lots of fun.

Celebrating Paul’s Graduation

21 05 2013

We are very proud of Paul for completing his Master of Information Management from the University of Maryland, during this busy time in our lives. It was a lot of late night studying and rushing to class after work but well worth it! Congratulations Paul!

We had a small gathering to celebrate and were very happy that Paul’s parents could be here to spend time with all of us.
